Are you a collector?

I'm a collector of sorts, but my wife calls me a hoarder. I just like too many types to be considered a serious collector. I also don't have the money. My most serious collecting endeavors are related to English guns with Webleys being the most interesting to me. I'm keen on English doubles as well.

Seems like I'm becoming a Muzzleloader collector. Knight is the maker I have the most of. I wouldn't buy another though...
Before that it was firearms from the WWII Era. They basically gave them away at the auctions and being young and dumb they were all coming home with me. down to one 8mm Mauser now.
I supposed I am a collector of Remington Semi Auto Shotguns also. its crazy to see what I paid for them and what they are going for now. I should dump them all and make bank but they have been reliable in the field so I'll keep these.

When I was still shooting trap, my doubles gun was a Remington 1100TB. It was a great shotgun.

I've never been a collector, and at 82 and with no family showing even the slightest interest in guns I'm glad that I didn't buy any more than I have. I've always bought guns for their utility in self and home defense. The few that I still own are ones that at various times seemed well suited for what I wanted. Some of them I have kept because the amount of money I would get by selling them is inconsequential to my quality of life, so the few times I take them to the range is enough for me to justify to myself my keeping them. I would probably be very happy if I reduced down to about six handguns and no long guns at all since I don't hunt or otherwise use long guns at all. A few pistols for concealed carry, a few for strategic placement around my home and a Mark IV for inexpensive range shooting is all I really need or want. I do have a S&W Model 19, 4 inch, nickel that I keep because it is just about the perfect handgun and the only one that I own that has emotional value.

I'm a shooter, hunter and collector. I concentrate on S&W revolvers 1956-1980.I still enjoy deer hunting and pheasant hunting.Im 69 and I ve always said I would sell my collection when I reach 70. No kids that show any interest at all and two are cops. They're gonna loose out especially with the Pre model 27's,29's and 19's.

If you're not already a member of the S&W Collectors Association and would like to join, let me know and I'll get an application to you.
